October Poll

It's a poll and an eye exam!

So, you'll notice the October poll is up at the top of the right sidebar. For some reason, the answer options are coming out really faint. They really are there and can be seen ... but barely. I created it the same way I have created all of my other polls, and I've never had this problem before, so I'm not sure what's happening.

The question is "If John McCain is elected, will you worry that he might die in office?" The first answer to pick is "yes"; the second is "no." Pretty simple options. I haven't given up on fixing it, but in the meantime, I'm hoping it's workable.

Update: It seems to be fixed. I think changing the background color did it. Thanks for you patience!

hey kid

sorry i havent commented as much lately. death has been on my mind a lot lately. september the 20th was the anniversary of my mother's death, my grandmother (whom i was estranged from since the death of my mother) died, and this has just left me kind of worn out and strung out on the topic. i've been staying away from the blog for that reason lately. can't you start a blog on rainbows and kittens or something?

xxx

I know. It's hard sometimes to read/write about death. I'm always looking for ways to lighten the vibe. I've tried posting some off-topic, but too much of that seems to make the blog lose focus. I may try adding entries that are pallet cleansers, if you will. Things just there to not be so serious and morbid.

That said, I totally understand if you don't visit for a while. Never any hard feelings about that. I'm afraid I'm not interested in a blog about kittens and rainbows. Maybe a puppy blog one of these days.

I think it is dumb people are worried that John McCain will die in office. It's extremely rare to have a president die in office. Pointless Jessica!
I am more worried that grey hound dogs will be turning in to men :0)

Well, Anon, it seems, so far, about an equal amount of people are worried as are not. I asked the question because McCain is 72 now and would be 76 at the end of his term. The average life expectancy, according to the National Center for Health Statistics, is 77.8 years. And McCain would be the oldest person ever inaugurated president. I'm glad, for your sake, that you're not worried about it, but I stand behind the validity of my question.
